[He knows Aoba can't hold his liquor worth anything, but he insisted. He's the type to take his time drinking and enjoy the company. He's a little hesitant to let Aoba get drinks, but he lets him anyway. After all, they're here to have fun, right? Koujaku finishes up his previous drink when Aoba returns, spilling one of the drinks.]

Be careful, Aoba. [He doesn't say it in a patronizing tone, more just a friendly reminder. He takes out a handkerchief and dabs the wet area dry.] The table shouldn't be getting more alcohol than us. [And he offers the handkerchief to Aoba.] Here, dry your hand with this.

[ He's a big boy, he swears! Besides, it's not like he's never grabbed a drink with Mizuki before, it's just that he doesn't do it often and tries not to drink too much. There's no fun in passing out face first onto the floor because you couldn't pace yourself.

He's trying to shake his hand off while Koujaku mops up the table, and mutters a thanks when offered the handkerchief before taking it and quickly wiping off his hand. ]

It would have been fine if they hadn't filled the glasses up this much.

[ Glancing down as he hands the handkerchief back. Not that the one is overly full now... ]

Maybe, but if they under pour, people will think they're stingy. [He takes the handkerchief back, tucking it away before taking a sip of his drink. He doesn't speak again until a good twenty seconds after.] It's good to have a drink with a friend after a long day of work, huh?

[ Maybe, but maybe if they did Aoba wouldn't have had to deal with his hand covered in his drink. He's taking the glasses he spilled things out of and dragging it over to himself. He'll let Koujaku have the other one. Everyone can probably agree that's for the best anyway.

He's gonna sit there and try not to sulk, so it's probably a good thing Koujaku finally decides to start talking again and pulls Aoba out of it. ]

I guess so. I don't really do things like this often, so I can't really say.

That's because you're not good at holding your alcohol. [He teases lightly, smirking just a little.] Do you remember the last time me, you, and Mizuki went out for drinks and you drank too much?

[ A frown but it's not like it's not true. He's a lightweight. He looks kind of surprised at Koujaku's comment. ]

Last time...

[ When was that even? He's trying and failing to remember this moment. ]

Oh, so you don't remember! That makes sense as you drank way too much. Mizuki and I both tried to make you go easy, even Ren, but you didn't listen, so you ended up going wild! [He laughs, looking very amused. He then pauses, trying to make a serious face.] You really don't remember pinning me down and giving me a kiss? You were pretty good, but a little sloppy.

[He really does try to keep the straight face, trying to focus on something else so he doesn't give away he's lying.]

[ For the first part of the story Aoba's sitting here frowning while he tries to remember any of this actually happening. Jeez, even Ren was telling him to ease up?

His expression changes drastically when Koujaku starts talking about Aoba pinning him down and sloppily kissing him. He sits bolt upright in his chair and actually manages to bump into his glass and knock some more out of it.

Goddammit Aoba... ]

Did that really happen?!

[Koujaku is too busy muffling his laughter, his body shaking to notice Aoba's full reaction, only hearing his voice. He's not doing a very good job at trying to stay calm and have Aoba believe it's true.]

[ Wait a minute, is he-- THIS ASSHOLE!!

The irritation on his face is immediate. ]

You...

[Now he can't hold back, a full eruption of laughter.]

I'm- [he's trying to stop laughing, but a few more escape.] I'm sorry, Aoba, I couldn't resist.

I can't believe you.

[ He makes an irritated sound before grabbing his glass and downing a good fourth of what's in there in one go. Fine, if Koujaku's gonna be a jerk then he gets the privilege of dragging a drunk Aoba back to his Granny's house.

He hopes drunk him makes your life hell, buddy! ]

I'm actually a bit surprised you believed me for a second there. [And when he sees Aoba drinking so quickly, his face turns to one of a slight panic.] Oi, Aoba, you don't need to drink that quickly!

[ Nope! Nope nope! In fact forcing himself to drink more before he sort of overdoes it and has to stop and cough a bit.

He's trying so hard to pretend like he didn't just make an ass out of himself and coughs a few more times to clear his throat. ]

What? Worried I'll get drunk and try to kiss you?

[A drunken kiss is nothing compared to what he's actually worried about.] More like getting sick and not having fun. [Now he blames himself a little for Aoba's response.] Getting too drunk, you'll regret it tomorrow.

[ Sinking back into his chair and putting his drink down. He's trying to be angry right now, he doesn't want this concern and logic tossed his way. He just wants to be a sarcastic dick in response to Koujaku's teasing. ]

It's just one drink. I'm not going to drink more after this.

You can have more, but just pace yourself. [Though, he's a little less worried. He goes back to drinking his own drink, taking his time and scanning to see who else is around. He wants to change the mood, so he points to pair of girls.] I think the one the left, she looks like she could be your type, Aoba. [Though, honestly Koujaku isn't even sure what Aoba's type is, but who could resist such a cute girl? Even Aoba couldn't say such an attractive girl isn't even slightly appealing.]

[ A sigh and picking up the drink again while staring it down. ]

I know.

[ He's not a kid anymore! He knows his limit! Sort of... he knows how easy it is for him to hit it anyway. Koujaku's advice actually isn't bad advice, but in all honesty he hadn't been planning on drinking more than one drink tonight anyway.

He's gonna sit there and be grumpy for awhile longer over this too, but Koujaku's attempt to change the subject works, and Aoba twists around to get a look at what Koujaku is talking about. ]

Huh?

[ ... Only to realize it's girls. Koujaku's pointing out women. Of course he is.

If Koujaku doesn't think Aoba can resist a cute girl, he clearly underestimates Aoba's general lack of interest in fooling around with girls at this point in time. ]

Ah, yeah. I guess she's cute.

[ What a lackluster response. ]

You guess? [Man, it's a long shot but even Koujaku is a bit taken aback by the response. Maybe he pointed to the wrong girl?] What about her friend? [Honestly, he wouldn't mind if Aoba found a cute, nice girl to date or having something casual with.] They look friendly enough that we could go up and talk to them. [And he'd try to prop up Aoba.]

[ He's about to respond with the same sort of half hearted response, but then Koujaku goes and adds in the part about trying to chat up the girls and Aoba's quick to hold out an arm, ready to stop Koujaku as needed.

He came here to have fun with his friend not pick up girls. He wants to spend his night with Koujaku and not awkwardly trying to talk to a girl he's not even interested in. ]

Hold on a minute! There's no need for us to bother them.

[He's not going to ditch Aoba over this, especially since it's their night to have fun and catch up. Still, he's just a little surprised. Maybe Aoba thinks Koujaku would overshadow him? Maybe the fear of rejection? He's not sure, but if Aoba doesn't want to, he won't.]

It wouldn't be bothering, as they look like they want to have fun, but if you prefer talking to me instead of pretty girls... I'm flattered.

[ It's not so much that he's afraid of being rejected of overshadowed, though he's pretty sure both things will happen if they go over there. It's more than he honestly just isn't interested. But he relaxes and even smiles a little, though technically it's more of a smirk than anything. ]

Don't get full of yourself.

[ He really does prefer talking to Koujaku though, so... ]

[Well, he doesn't deny it. Talking and catching up to Aoba, he can't deny it, he does enjoy it a lot. He likes girls, sure, but this is more of a unique opportunity. ]

To have such a good friend, I'm just saying how lucky I am, that's all. [He starts drinking again, giving a good shake to Aoba's right shoulder before letting it go.]

Your flattery isn't going to work on me, you know.

[ He says that, but despite himself Aoba looks pretty happy about the compliment. It's still a nice thing to hear, even if Aoba's over here giving Koujaku all this shit.

Maybe he should compliment Koujaku too? He should probably let him know that Aoba also enjoys their time together, but the longer he hesitates the smaller the window of opportunity for a comment like that gets.

He's gonna be take a sip of his drink again just to give himself an excuse to not talk. So much for that... ]

It's the truth that also just happens to be flattery, maybe. [He smiles again, holding his drink but not drinking it just yet.] I just want you to know for certain you're a good friend of mine and you can come to me for whatever reason.

[He goes back to drinking again since Aoba is doing it, and he looks very relaxed and at ease.]
